Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training
Mandatory Requirement — NYS Department of Health
Important Regulatory Update: As per Chapter 25 of the Laws of 2024, which amended Social Services Law § 413, New York State now requires all Registered Nurses — including those who previously completed the original child abuse training — to complete an updated Mandated Reporter Training by November 17, 2026.
This is not a Task Health requirement. This is a New York State mandate enforced through NYSED (New York State Education Department). You will be required to provide proof of completion when renewing your RN license.
